INTERACTIVITY

For more than ten years, I’ve used my writing to help companies define and deepen their brands. I’ve spent the past seven years as a freelancer focusing largely on interactive communications—from developing original content for complex corporate web sites, to designing educational electronic games and creating audio scripts for museum tours.

FOOD AND WINE

Food and wine are my professional passions. I’ve created more than 100 recipes for clients, by working closely with a talented Sonoma chef. I’ve written extensively about wine for a lay consumer audience—from the hows of tasting to tips on starting a wine group. I regularly take advantage of continuing education courses in food and wine—most recently the Introduction to Winemaking Course offered by the University of California at Davis—and look forward to more learning.

PRINT AND EDUCATION

I’ve authored one book, a memoir called Generation J (Harper Collins), which landed on the best seller lists of the San Francisco Chronicle and The Village Voice, and generated controversial responses nationwide. I earned my master's degree at Oxford University in social anthropology and my bachelor’s degree at Brandeis University, where I graduated magna cum laude, with high honors in English and American Literature.
